At ArtPexels, accessible from https://artpexels.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by ArtPexels and how we use it.
ArtPexels follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
When you use our public or developer API endpoints (e.g. to search, fetch, or customize wallpapers programmatically), our server automatically logs the requesting Internet Protocol (IP) address, Request Path, User-Agent, referring URL, and response metrics.
Why do we collect and monitor this data?
Like any other website, ArtPexels uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.
Google is one of a third-party vendor on our site. It also uses cookies, known as DART cookies, to serve ads to our site visitors based upon their visit to www.website.com and other sites on the internet. However, visitors may choose to decline the use of DART cookies by visiting the Google ad and content network Privacy Policy at the following URL – https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
ArtPexels's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt-out of certain options.
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
ArtPexels does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

ArtPexels – 4K HD Wallpapers ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") is a free wallpaper application available on the Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, what permissions are required, and how your information is handled. By downloading and using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
The App requires certain Android permissions to function correctly. Below is a complete list of every permission and why it is needed:
We are committed to collecting the minimum amount of data necessary for the App to function. Below is a transparent breakdown:
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. The AdMob SDK automatically collects your device's Advertising ID (AAID) — a unique, user-resettable identifier assigned by Google Play Services. This Advertising ID is used to serve relevant ads, measure ad performance, and prevent ad fraud. This data is collected by the AdMob SDK and shared with Google's advertising and ad partner networks. You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising by going to your device's Settings → Google → Ads → Reset Advertising ID or Delete Advertising ID.
The App reads your device's Android SDK version (using the device_info_plus library) to determine the correct storage permission model to use. On Android 13 and above, the App requests the READ_MEDIA_IMAGES permission, while on Android 12 and below, it requests the legacy READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permissions. This device information is only processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
The App does not collect any of the following:
The App stores certain data locally on your device using Hive (a lightweight, encrypted-capable local database). This data never leaves your device and includes:
All locally stored data can be cleared at any time by using the "Clear Cache" option within the App or by clearing the App's data from your device's Settings.
The App integrates the following third-party services. Each service may collect data according to its own privacy policy:
The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob, including:
The AdMob SDK collects your Advertising ID and may collect device information, IP address, and interaction data to serve and measure ads. Premium users who have an active ad-free pass or subscription are not shown any advertisements, and ad loading is skipped entirely for these users.
For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use their services.
The App fetches wallpaper data (titles, categories, image URLs, and photographer credits) from the ArtPexels server (artpexels.com/api). When the App makes an API request, the server may log the request's IP address, user-agent, and request path for rate-limiting and security purposes. The App sends its package identifier (com.artpexels) as a header for API access verification. No personal user data is transmitted in these requests.
The App offers premium features (such as ad-free passes and premium wallpaper access) through Google Play's in-app purchase system. All payment processing, billing information, and transaction data are handled entirely by Google Play. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card details, bank information, or any financial data. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal data. Data is only shared in the following limited circumstances:
All network communication between the App and our servers, as well as third-party services (AdMob, Pexels API, Google Play), is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS/SSL encryption). Local data stored on your device via Hive is accessible only to the App itself and is protected by Android's application sandboxing.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at support@artpexels.com and we will take steps to remove such information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
